Tecleor

First Russian plant to process food with calculated dose of ionizing radiation

Food Irradiation is a physical treatment in which food is exposed to calculated dose of ionizing radiation.

The technology is able to:

  • eliminate the risk of dangerous foodborne infections from wide range of produce: meat, fish, mushrooms, vegetables and fruit;
  • extend the shelf life and transportability of highly perishable products;
  • provide a quarantine treatment of exported and imported goods;
  • exterminate insects in grains, cereals, flour, nuts, fresh and dried fruit or vegetable;
  • exterminate insects in grains, cereals, flour, nuts, fresh and dried fruit or vegetable;
  • prepare food for people with weakened immune systems or those working in special conditions.

Food Irradiation is Growing

The global market of services for radiation processing of food products in 2012 exceeded $ 2.3 billion.The projected level in the long term (after 2030) is $ 22.5 billion, including Russia’s $ 1 billion, with growth forecast of about 10% per year. We offer Electron beam (E-Beam) processing more than 100 kinds of food products. Ionizing radiation safely disinfects through packaging, lowering risk of post-processing contamination.
